Hi, I’m Suzan
I’m an Egyptian artist, designer, and creative technologist based in New York, shaped by my roots in Abu Dhabi. I bring passion, inspiration, and craft to every project. I design for empathy so people feel connected — to each other, their stories, and the cultures that shape them.
My creative practice
I’ve lived at an intersection of identities — cultural, geographic, artistic — and that bleed into everything I do. I move fluidly between media: visuals, sound, code. I love to build experiences that celebrate culture, community, memory, and heritage. When I tell stories, I want them to feel alive, layered, and deeply human
What I do
I lead end-to-end design, from discovery and journey mapping to high-fidelity prototypes, front-end implementation, and launch. I instrument what ships so we can learn quickly and iterate with purpose. My craft lives where human-centered design meets practicality: I design assistants, semantic search, and generative workflows that are transparent, privacy-aware, and measurably helpful.
I bring a critical, research-driven lens to my practice, and examine how emerging tools can replicate systems of power—or be reclaimed as tactics for liberation. That research and interest pushes me to center equity, accessibility, and cultural depth in the systems I build. I write and test prompts, define success metrics, and pair strong UX thinking with real build fluency. Across all of it, I work to merge empathy with clarity—building products that are deeply human and rigorously made.

Beyond design...
Alongside my design practice, I’m a musician, singer, and songwriter with a lifelong love for music that I often intertwine into my other art. My sound blends RnB, Arabic, Soul, and Pop influences, and my performances aim to create moments of connection and celebration.
Some of my greatest achievements have been opening for Julia Michaels, performing at Comicon Abu Dhabi and the Mother of the Nation Festival, and collaborating with the international band Music Travel Love. Music is how I nurture emotion and rhythm—and it fuels the atmosphere and pacing of the interactive worlds I build.
